GeoMate supported Magna in Toronto’s midtown by using aerial imagery and AI-driven mapping to generate compact, high-precision HD maps purpose-built for last-mile autonomy. Our streamlined mapping workflows delivered over 200 km of precise road data including 300 diverse intersections.
Both teams quickly recognized the opportunity: GeoMate’s AI-generated HD maps could give Magna New Mobility the detailed, up-to-date street-level understanding needed for safe and efficient last-mile autonomy without requiring May Mobility to conduct costly, time-consuming surveying on their own.
In 2025, the partnership moved into action. Magna brought GeoMate on to map key neighbourhood and commercial corridors, generating the curb-level data, intersection details, and operational insights required to refine and scale their autonomous delivery service.
