2025: A Year of Growth and Execution

As the year draws to a close, it’s important to take a moment to reflect and to celebrate.

In 2026, this six-year-old company will turn seven, and over the past year, a lot has happened at GeoMate. Our team nearly doubled, we successfully expanded our innovation pipeline, and we secured key international deals, forming new partnerships across 4 continents.

So, as we honour this year’s progress and anticipate what’s to come, we’d like to send off 2025 with some of GeoMate’s most memorable figures from the calendar year.

RealSimE: From Vision to Launch

2025 marked a major milestone for GeoMate with the launch of RealSimE, our simulation-ready digital environment platform.

RealSimE was built to address a core challenge we’ve seen across mobility, planning, and autonomy: the gap between real-world complexity and the environments used to design, test, and validate decisions. By reconstructing the real world into machine-readable, lane-level digital environments, RealSimE enables faster experimentation, safer validation, and more scalable deployment across cities and regions.

Throughout 2025, our team focused on turning years of research and applied mapping into a production-ready platform. We advanced RealSimE from concept to launch, validated it with early partners, and integrated it into real workflows spanning simulation, safety analysis, and urban mobility planning.

The launch of RealSimE represents more than a new product—it reflects GeoMate’s broader mission to reconstruct the real world in ways that support safer, more accessible, and more informed decision-making. As we head into 2026, RealSimE will continue to evolve as a foundation for new use cases, markets, and partnerships.

Projects - 20+

In 2025, GeoMate worked with partners such as Magna and May Mobility, along with the cities and counties of Toronto,Melbourne, Napa County, Kitchener, and more.

Looking back, three projects stood out:

1 - Magna International (Toronto, ON)

GeoMate supported Magna in Toronto by using aerial imagery and AI-powered mapping to generate compact, high-precision HD maps purpose-built for last-mile autonomy.

With lane-level precision in complex urban environments, GeoMate ensured a 70% cost reduction across 200+ kilometres of the city’s bustling midtown, with zero on-site surveying required.

2 - May Mobility (Atlanta, GA)

As May Mobility prepared to partner with Lyft in bringing autonomous robo-taxis to the city of Atlanta, they needed highly accurate data to test their autonomous vehicles. Thus, they partnered with GeoMate, implementing our technology to create compact HD maps purpose-built for autonomous driving.

This partnership accelerated May Mobility’s delivery timelines by providing them with 30+ CL/km of mapping data, including lane and road geometry, vertical features, and more, swiftly enabling their vehicles to safely handle the unexpected.

3 - AFL Global (Several cities in Ontario)

To support Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) design and construction (deployment), AFL Global needed highly accurate infrastructure data for projects across Burlington, Ontario. Thus, they partnered with GeoMate in 2025, allowing them to complete comprehensive landbase mapping across 1000+ km in just 3 months, effectively transforming their GIS data capture process.

With GeoMate’s 3 cm accuracy of actionable road and sidewalk datasets, AFL now has a repeatable solution for future projects, removing safety risks and maximizing operational efficiency.

Revenue Milestone - 85% increase

GeoMate’s revenue increased by 85% this year, almost doubling our numbers from 2024. We’re incredibly proud of the hard work from every member of our team, and we expect the launch of our RealSimE technology in early 2026 will further open the eyes and ears of our past, present and future partners across the industry.

Conferences & Events - 13

GeoMate travelled far and wide in 2025, making trips to 13 cities in 10 different countries around the globe. And while our team members dutifully attended 4 sporting events on foreign ground, the trip highlights were the friends and connections made and renewed at every single event. Here’s everywhere GeoMate went in 2025:

CES 2025 - Las Vegas, USA 🇺🇲

Team Canada Trade Mission - Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺

LEAP - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

DiscoveryX - Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦

Team Canada Trade Mission - Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭

Team Canada Trade Mission - Phnom Penh, Cambodia 🇰🇭

VivaTech - Paris, France 🇫🇷

IAA Mobility - Munich, Germany 🇩🇪

ITEA PO Preparation Days - Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹

MOVE America - Detroit, USA 🇺🇲

TAC - Quebec City, Canada 🇨🇦

AutoSens - Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸

SpaceTech - Bremen, Germany 🇩🇪

If you plan to be at one of these for 2026, or we missed you in 2025, feel free to reach out! We’d love to connect, and since mapping knows no bounds, we’re eternally curious: where should we go next?

New Hires - 8

This year saw 8 new faces join the GeoMate team, which is one of our proudest figures from 2025.

From cartographers to computer vision engineers (and everything in between), GeoMate’s team grew in size and expertise, reinforcing the collaborative nature of our work as we continue to foster an exciting – yet comfortable – workplace atmosphere.

So…What’s Next?

As 2026 begins, GeoMate is preparing for a major milestone: the unveiling of RealSimE at CES.

RealSimE represents our next step forward — enabling simulation-ready, real-world environments that support validation, testing, and deployment across autonomous and mobility systems. As AV technologies advance, so must the data and environments used to test them. RealSimE is designed to meet that need with accuracy, scalability, and real-world fidelity.

If you want to hear more about this, shoot us a message or stop by our booth at CES! RealSimE will launch us into 2026 and beyond, so we hope you’ll come along for the ride.

Reflections From Our Team

Amin Gharebaghi (Co-Founder, CEO)

This year reinforced that building something meaningful is as much about people as it is about technology. By listening closely to our partners, customers, and team, we gained clarity around what GeoMate stands for and the responsibility that comes with building foundations others rely on. Navigating periods of uncertainty sharpened our focus and resilience, helping us make more intentional choices about how and where we grow. As we look to 2026, our focus is on turning this clarity into impact by scaling platforms and partnerships that allow our work to travel across cities and industries. Thank you to our team, partners, and community for the trust and collaboration throughout the year.

On a final note, we would like to say one big thank you to all the partners, colleagues and friends we’ve made over the past year. GeoMate’s growth would not be possible without each and every one of you, and we look forward to our relationships continuing to build as we move towards a sustainable, self-driven future.

See you next year 🙂
